KS Bharat Out of Team out of India’s Team for West Indies tour

In the WTC final match, Team India had to face defeat against Australia by 209 runs. After this, now the Indian team is preparing to make a new beginning with the West Indies tour. Most of the players on this tour can be young in the team. At the same time, some veteran and old players who have been performing poorly for some time can also be dropped from the team.

The team for the Test series against West Indies has not even been announced yet and before that one player is expected to be dropped. The name of the player in question is KS Bharath. The cricketer has been selected in the South Zone squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy starting on June 28. In such a situation, it is indicating that he will be dropped from Team India.

South had made it to the final of the tournament last year along with West Zone and hence, both the teams qualified directly for the semi-finals this time around. This means the remaining four teams from North Zone, East Zone, Central Zone and Northeast Zone will play two quarter-finals to make it to the semi-finals. Going by this schedule, the Duleep Trophy semi-finals will start around July 4 or 5 and the tie will end on July 7 or 8. The first Test of the two-match Test series between India and West Indies will begin on July 12 in Dominica. Team India may leave there at least a week before the start of the Test series and this clearly suggests that KS Bharath is certain to be out of the team.

This player has not contributed much with the bat in the five Test matches he has played for India so far. Bharat has scored only 129 runs at an average of 18.42, with no half-centuries or hundreds to his name. In the first innings of the World Test Championship, Bharat was dismissed after scoring only 5 runs and in the second innings he was dismissed after scoring only 23 runs.
