<p>The exorbitant expense of replacing or repairing their handsets via Apple’s official channels has been one of the primary worries for many iPhone customers, particularly those utilizing the ‘Pro’ series. Recent iPhone models, such as the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro, are infamous for being difficult to repair, especially the rear glass. <p>The iPhone 15 Pro models, according to Apple, “use an industry-first thermo-mechanical process,” and “the titanium bands encase a new substructure made from 100 percent recycled aluminum, bonding these two metals with incredible strength through solid-state diffusion.” These features were highlighted during the launch event. According to Apple, the “aluminum frame helps with thermal dissipation and allows the back glass to be easily replaced.”</p>
<p>According to MacRumors, this modification was initially made to the iPhone 14 regular versions, which have a design that enables the phone to be opened from both the front and the rear. Unfortunately, the iPhone 14 Pro models were not included in this makeover.</p>
<p>Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro is made of stronger materials. Since the release of the iPhone X in 2017, a titanium frame has replaced the stainless steel used in iPhones (iPhone XS, 11 Pro, 12 Pro, 13 Pro, and 14 Pro). It’s important to keep in mind, however, that iPhones still have glass on both sides, making them breakable.</p>
<p>The new iPhones still have the same Ceramic Shield glass, so it’s unknown if they will be more durable than the iPhone 14 series, but the enhanced repairability should make it simpler and maybe more affordable for owners to get their handsets fixed. However, it is yet unknown how much exactly Apple may charge for iPhone 15 Pro repairs.</p>
