Hyderabad company introduces first-ever entirely indigenous micro-turbojet engine

<p>The city-based Raghu Vamsi Machine Tools (RVMT) Pvt Ltd announced on Monday the introduction of INDRA RV25: 240N, a completely indigenous micro-turbojet engine. Dr. G Satheesh Reddy, the president of the Aeronautical Society of India, was there when it was launched. He officially opened the assembly and test lab and saw the engine being tested in real time at the RVMT Hyderabad site.</p>

<p>Claimed to be the nation’s first of its type, the in-house micro-turbojet engine was designed fully inside India by an RVMT engineering team with assistance from IIT, Hyderabad.</p>
<p>According to a statement, the launch not only promotes technical innovation but also the expansion of the homegrown aerospace and defense industrial sector, resulting in job creation and economic prosperity.</p>
<p>“We are proud to unveil our fully indigenous micro turbojet engine, a testament to India’s ingenuity and determination to become a global hub for aerospace innovation,” said Vamsi Vikas, managing director of RVMT. This accomplishment highlights our dedication to advancing the “Make in India” and Atmanirbhar Bharat programs, which will propel economic development and prosperity for our country.</p>
<p>This breakthrough, according to Raghu Vamsi Group COO Arvind Mishra, is evidence of RVMT’s ability to develop and produce mission-critical products and solutions for the aerospace and defense industries.</p>
<p>According to the statement, this will open the door for the business to develop a whole line of micro turbojet engines up to 100 kgf (kilogram-force) for use in range extenders, auxiliary power units, UAVs, and missile propulsion.</p>
